Will you help LCA to make a bold step of faith to move forward?

Dear LCA Family,

This past Sunday, we gathered for our Annual Members’ Meeting where we shared the message that as a Leadership Team, we believe God is preparing us for growth, deeper mission, and greater impact!!

We have been praying and working hard to create and clarify a bold new vision for our Church. This new Christ-centred, People-Empowering, Spirit-led vision will create a roadmap for our church, encompassing our plan for growth, discipleship, outreach, engaging and mobilizing our church. The new vision will outline a 5-year plan for continued growth, expansion, and blessing, which will be launched in the Fall in the form of a 4-part session delivered through interactive small groups called the nextSTEPS Course, replacing membership classes.

However, as we also discussed at last Sunday’s AMM, we recognize that our current space and structure are no longer sufficient for the road ahead and to facilitate our church’s growth.

Here’s the reality:

  • Our current facility requires significant financial repairs and upgrades     (A/C, electrical, structural issues, and more).
  • The space no longer accommodates our growing congregation.
  • The model of renting out half the building has become a constant distraction and drain on ministry time.
  • We have discovered that the City of Laval will not allow us to extend or expand at this location, and any future changes to our operation or building use will risk our future viability of our zoning as a tax-subsidized place of worship.

But this is not just a challenge—it’s an opportunity that we are ready to embrace!

We have prayerfully decided that “doing nothing is not an option.” After exploring many possibilities, we’re taking a bold step: we’re partnering with a Christian consultancy and real estate team that specializes in helping churches like ours across Quebec and Canada to relocate or redevelop — with spiritual care, congregational engagement, and city/community consultation at the heart of the process.

To begin this work, we need to raise $15,000 to retain their services. These funds are urgently needed, and our current operating funds simply cannot cover this.

Will you prayerfully consider giving toward this important first step?

We’re asking each of you to consider how God might be leading you to sow into the future of our church. Whether you can give a little or a lot, every gift matters. This is more than a financial decision—it’s an investment in the spiritual, missional, and communal life of our church for years to come. In fact, after many years of discussion, prayer, and investigation, we believe that this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for LCA to take a bold step of faith and reach more people with the love of Jesus.

If you have questions or ideas, we’d love to hear from you. We’re committed to ongoing transparency and engagement as this journey unfolds.

Let’s pray. Let’s dream. Let’s act in faith—together.

With gratitude and hope,
