Position Summary:
Children learn best in smaller groups. Being a key spiritual leader in the life of a child, the Small Group Leader has the wonderful opportunity to make a lasting positive impact on the life of a child and participate in laying the foundations of their faith.
What you will do:
- Lead an age specific classroom of kids.
- Facilitate discussions, group activities and crafts.
- Read the curriculum and prepare a discussion.
- Pray for the children in your group.
Who you are:
This person loves working with children and is highly relational. Demonstrating a mature Christian faith, able to teach, and lead faith-based conversations, the small group leader is prepared to help children learn about Jesus and all he has done for them.
Knowledge/Skills and other Requirements:
- A Member of LCA.
- A willingness to learn skills in working with kids.
- Able to teach.
- Understand behaviour dynamics.
- Attend a yearly plan to protect training.
- Police Background Check (Done by LCA)
